ASSET test

Dear Parents,
The school will conduct Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing (ASSET) for classes lll to X from 3rd October to 6th October 2011. The fee for the test is RO. 6.500 for English, Maths and Science (Classes lll to X) and RO. 2.500 each for Hindi (Classes lV to Vlll) and Social Studies (Classes V to X)
ASSET is a unique test that checks the depth of students’ understanding on every topic. The test consists only of multiple choice questions and provides feedback on students’ vocabulary levels, their ability to comprehend texts in varied formats, apply the concepts taught in real life situations and develop a love for learning and understanding new things.
All students will receive a Certificate and the ASSET Mybook. ASSET Mybook is a personalized instructional material for each student based on the results. It contains: the detailed result highlighting the student’s strengths and weaknesses; practice questions along with the explanations and answers for the concepts that the student is weak in.
It is also worth noting that Class Vll students scoring the 95th percentile or higher in the ASSET Mathematics, Science, or English tests, taken in August 2011, would be eligible to participate in the Duke TIP India Talent Search. This talent search programme is offered by Duke University, one of the top 10 universities in US, in partnership with ASSET. Eligibility based on ASSET results is applicable only to Indian nationals.
The Duke Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) is a gifted education program being conducted in USA for 30 past years and for the last 2 years in India. Its purpose is to identify gifted children and provide them and their parents the resources to reach their full educational potential. ASSET tests are stress free and require no prior preparation and students will also benefit greatly from the individualized analysis and remedial in the form of practice questions.

Interested students may complete the acknowledgement slip and return it to school fee counter along with required fee by 09-05-2011.
