Annual Function '12

Enthralling, Electrifying, Scinitillating,,,,It was packed all in one..The Annual Function on 21.04.2012.....The Dances by the students, their glittering costumes, synchronised movements, and the finish all were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by the audience on stage view and on screen through the 2 LCD projectors just in case people couldn't get close to the stage... As usual the students managed to get a holiday declaration from the chief guest for the following day....So many Gold coins for the Star performers and lastly for long services to the Staff......The teachers, students and all those involved in the function deserve a huge Thumbs UP !!!!!! for the successful planning, execution and maintaining discipline during the function....Three cheers ISS.

The Annual Concert 2012 of Indian School Sohar was a success. It was an electrifying performance by the students under the guidance of the teachers....The Programme started exactly as scheduled at 6.00 p.m. The students Lit the stage....and the parents braved the intermittent showers of rains...and remained glued until the end of the last dance item. The highlights of this programme were inclusion of Filipino,Korean and Italian Dances in the international ones. Mime was one of the other FIRSTS which got its due...Excellent act. Omani and Indian national anthems were sung LIVE by the chorus with a LIVE BAND...By the way !! Omani school also do not play their national anthem instead play pre-recorded CDs during the events...Last year the ISS students were requested by the Chief Guest of the Annual Function '11 to present their national anthem in one of THEIR FUNCTIONS......Great Isn't it ???? Besides One Goan song was presented with LIVE band from amongst the students.Concert couldn't remain untouched by IPL fever and the Cheerleaders.... and the show concluded well in time...EXCELLENT TIMING, GREAT ENERGY and DISCIPLINE by all staff, students, volunteers...CONGRATULATIONS...Keep it up Always.....

A)Thursday, 19th April 2012

• There will be no regular classes
• Only participants shall be in school for dress rehearsal from 7.40 am. to 2.10pm. Others will not come to school.
• Transport arrangements to be done by parents.

B)Saturday, 21st April 2012

• There will be no regular classes.
• All the participants and volunteers should report to their teacher-in-charge at 5.00 pm
• Transport arrangements to be done by parents.

General Instructions:

1. Children should be kept with the parents, and not allowed to go near the stage.
2. Private photography/videography by parents is not allowed.
3. Parents may park their vehicles in the open ground on the left side of portacabin classrooms. ROP officials will be on duty.
4. Participants must come dress in their costumes and with light make-up on.
